Artificial Intelligence Engineer

We are a startup based in Reggio Emilia, Italy that creates disruptive products by combining Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. We are looking for talented innovators in mechatronic, electronic and software to lead the next-gen of food appliances.

  • The role

  • You will be responsible for the design and implementation of an embedded AI system with vision, physical and chemical sensors in our R&D department.

  • Job description
    • Design a physical embedded system to complete a given inference task in a constrained environment
    • Formalize the task itself to obtain a precise model of the physical system environment
    • Develop and train an AI multi-modal model to complete the task
    • Gather, label and store data from a prototype of the embedded system to enable training
    • Manage cloud or physical machines in order to perform the training of the model
    • Validate the model through its execution on board of the prototype
    • Open the model to future extensions
    • Collaborate with the rest of the R&D team to implement the physical data collection systems.

  • Qualifications needed
    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
    • Advanced experience in training and designing AI models (transformers preferable)
    • Advanced experience in software development (Python preferable)
    • Good knowledge of AI libraries (Pytorch preferable)
    • Good knowledge of physical and chemical sensors
    • Good knowledge of cloud systems (AWS preferable)
    • Good knowledge of networking
    • Good knowledge of database (Postgres preferable)
    • Basic knowledge of image handling
    • Basic knowledge of embedded systems
    • Basic knowledge of version control (git)
    • Medium/advanced in English.
